Doogee Announces the V40 Standard Model with Dimensity 7300 and 12GB RAM

Doogee Announces the V40 Standard Model: A New Addition to the V40 Series

Doogee has officially announced the release of the Doogee V40, the standard model in its V40 series. The device shares several features with the previously released V40 Pro but also comes with key notable differences in specifications.

Both the Doogee V40 and V40 Pro models come with rugged certifications that include IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H for water, dust, and shock resistance. The V40 features a 6.78-inch FHD+ IPS touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to the Pro model, but lacks the secondary display stacked on the rear of the Pro model.

On the hardware wing, the V40 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, the same SoC used on the Pro model. It runs Android 14 out of the box, layered with Doogee's DokeOS 4.0 interface. Storage on the V40 includes 12GB of RAM (4GB RAM shy of the Pro model) and 512GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD.

In terms of camera setup, the Doogee V40 includes a quad-camera system. It features a 108MP Samsung HM6 primary sensor, a 20MP night vision camera with infrared flash, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 0.08MP depth sensor. The selfie camera is a 16MP unit. For comparison, the V40 Pro offers a more advanced 200MP main camera and an additional 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and twice the pixel count of its selfie snapper,

Connectivity options for the V40 include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and a Type-C port for charging and data transfer. It also supports navigation systems like GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou. The fingerprint scanner is positioned on the side, integrated into the power button.

The battery capacity of the Doogee V40 matches that of the V40 Pro, with an 8680mAh battery and 33W fast charging. It is available in Silver and Black colors and runs on the aforementioned Android 14 out of the box. Pricing for the model is not official yet, but we do know it will be cheaper than the Pro model given the sliced specifications in key areas.
