Doogee to Launch Blade GT Rugged Smartphone with the Dimensity 7050 SoC

Doogee is preparing to introduce the Blade GT, the fifth iteration in its Blade series of rugged smartphones. Following the Blade 10, 10 Pro, 10 Ultra, and 10 Max, the Blade GT will stand out with its more powerful CPU and a distinctive design, especially on the rear.

Key Features

The Blade GT will be the most powerful model in the series so far, as it will come with the Mediatek Dimensity 7050 5G chipset, the same Chipset used in the Doogee S200 model, marking a significant upgrade from previous Blade models.

The phone will also feature a 6.7-inch IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The model will also get a rear secondary display, but the specific details are yet to be known.

Design and Build

Design-wise, the Blade GT will come with a notable design change, incorporating a translucent rear with an integrated LED light, reminiscent of the Unihertz Luna and Nothing Phone 1. Nonetheless, the Blade GT will still maintain the rugged characteristics typical of the series, boasting IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H ratings. This means it will be resistant to water, dust, and shocks, making it suitable for harsh environments.

Memory and Storage

In terms of memory and storage, the Blade GT will come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB using an SD card. The other models in the series are capped at 8GB RAM on the Blade 10 Max and the 10 Ultra.

Camera System

The camera setup on the Blade GT includes a 100MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. The front camera will be an 8MP sensor, suitable for selfies and video calls. Video recording capabilities include 4K and 1080p at 30fps, with a dual LED flash for low-light conditions.

Connectivity and Battery

The Blade GT will support various network bands, including multiple 4G and 5G bands, ensuring fast and reliable connectivity. Additional features will include Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band WiFi, USB Type-C, and NFC. The device will be equipped with a 5,500mAh battery, supporting 33W fast charging.

Availability

While the launch date for the Doogee Blade GT remains unknown, it will be available in Black and White colors once released. As these specifications are not fully confirmed yet, they should be taken with a pinch of salt until official announcements are made.

Doogee has multiple rugged devices in the works, including the upcoming Fire 6 series. We are tracking these developments, and updates will be posted as soon as we have them.
