Our Rating

The rating below is a collection of user reviews and expert opinions from our in-house writers and other reviewers across the web.

6
  • Overall Average 6 / 10

The Hammer 4+ builds upon the durability of the Hammer 4 by adding 3G network capabilities alongside its existing rugged features.

With an IP68 rating, it remains resistant to dust and water submersion, and can take drops of up to 1.5 meters thanks to its IK05 impact resistance. The phone maintains the same comfortable size at 146 x 66 x 18 mm and 172 grams.

The Hammer 4+ features a 2.8-inch TFT display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. It runs on a proprietary operating system and is powered by a MediaTek 6276A CPU, a slight upgrade over the Hammer 4. It boasts double the internal storage with 128MB of ROM, still expandable with a microSD card up to 32GB (not included).

The camera setup remains the same with a single 2MP rear camera without an LED flash. There’s no front-facing camera for selfies or video calls. Connectivity includes Bluetooth v2.1 for headsets, FM radio for entertainment, and a Micro USB port for charging and data transfer.

The 2000mAh Li-Ion battery is non-removable and provides ample standby time on a single charge. Additional features include a dedicated torch and a loudspeaker. The Hammer 4+ comes in a single silver color option.
