Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2
This is the Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2, the direct successor to the Kyocera DuraForce Pro. The DuraForce Pro 2 comes with several notable upgrades over it predecessor. The device retains the same 5-inch IPS LCD screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, but now features Sapphire crystal glass for enhanced durability and scratch resistance compared to the Corning Gorilla Glass on the previous model.
The internal memory has been doubled to 64GB, and the RAM has been increased to 4GB, offering more storage space and smoother multitasking. The device runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset with an octa-core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 508 GPU, providing better overall performance compared to its predecessor which came with Snapdragon 617 and the Android 6.0.
In terms of camera technology, the DuraForce Pro 2 retains the dual-camera setup but with a more advanced configuration. It includes a 13MP main camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera, which allow for more versatile photography. The selfie camera remains a 5MP sensor.
The DuraForce Pro 2 continues to meet IP68 and MIL-STD-810G standards, making it dustproof, waterproof up to 2 meters, and resistant to extreme conditions. It has slightly larger dimensions at 150.2 x 73.4 x 13.5 mm and weighs 243 grams. The battery remains a non-removable 3240mAh unit, but now supports both 10W Quick Charge and wireless charging.
Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, dual stereo speakers, and USB Type-C 3.1 for connectivity. The Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2 is available in black and boot the aforementioned Android 8.0 OS out of the box.
