The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is the direct successor to the Galaxy S7 Active, coming with the rugged and tough signature of the company’s active series. It features a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Under the hood, the S8 Active is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, with an octa-core CPU and an Adreno 540 GPU, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, a step up from the S7 Active’s Snapdragon 820 and 32GB storage option.

The main camera is a 12MP sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, and OIS, capable of 4K and 1080p video recording. The front camera setup includes a 5MP lens with an f/1.9 aperture, along with a 2MP iris scanner, adding an extra layer of security compared to the S7 Active.
