Unihertz Shark
The Unihertz Shark 5G, also known as the Unihertz Shark 1, is an ultra-rugged smartphone released in August 2024, built to endure challenging environments while delivering robust performance. The device features a 6.79-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a brightness of 580 nits, and a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels.
Constructed to meet IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H standards, the Shark 5G is dust and water-resistant up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes and can withstand drops onto concrete from up to 1.5 meters. This makes it suitable for users who need a durable device in demanding environments like constructions, mining and other related field.
Under the hood, the Shark 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 2TB via an SD card, with an additional 12GB of virtual RAM available for enhanced multitasking. The device runs on Google Android 14, providing a modern and user-friendly interface.
The camera system includes a triple rear setup, featuring a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 64MP night vision camera with PDAF and IR Illumination LED. The 50MP front camera captures detailed selfies, and the phone supports 4K and 1080p video recording at 30fps.
For connectivity, the Shark 5G supports 5G networks and includes Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band WiFi with WiFi 6, USB Type-C, and NFC. Navigation is supported by A-GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou, ensuring reliable location tracking. The device is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, and proximity sensor.
The Shark 5G houses a massive 15,600mAh battery with 66W fast charging, capable of powering the device through extended use, and offers 5W reverse charging to help power other devices.
