Hammer 6 LTE Arrives for Rugged Dumbphone Lovers

Polish company Hammer has just rolled out the Hammer 6 LTE, a solid option for those who appreciate rugged dumb phones. The device is priced at 299.00 zł (about $78 USD), and you can find it on the company’s website.

All About Hammer 6 LTE

The Hammer 6 LTE is built tough, featuring an IP68 rating and MIL-STD-810H certification. This means it can handle water, dust, and drops from up to 1.5 meters, making it a practical choice for outdoor adventures or demanding work environments like farming or a construction site.

You’ll find a 2.4-inch IPS display on the front with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and 167 PPI, which works well for basic tasks. Thankfully, Hammer decided to use an IPS screen instead of a traditional TFT screen which is used on most dumbphones.

The phone runs on Hammer’s proprietary operating system and it is powered by a Unisoc T107 single-core CPU, along with 48MB of RAM and 128MB of internal storage. If you need more space, you can expand it with an external SD card up to 32GB.

For photography, there’s a 2MP rear camera with an LED flash, but no front-facing camera. I wouldn’t expect much from the camera segment of this phone given that it is a simple button phone. In terms of connectivity, the device supports 2G, 3G, and 4G networks, plus Bluetooth 2.1 and FM radi0.

The device is powered by a removable 2500mAh battery, which should be enough for a longer standby. This is typically larger than the average capacity within this segment. It also features a dedicated torchlight on the head, and an SOS button for those who need it.
