Hammer Unveils Construction 2 5G and Construction 2 Thermal 5G Smartphones
Polish rugged smartphone manufacturer, Hammer, has announced the launch of its latest devices, the Construction 2 5G and the Construction 2 Thermal 5G. These models are direct successors to the highly successful Hammer Construction, and here is all you need to know about the two models.
Hammer Construction 2 5G
The Hammer Construction 2 5G is built to endure tough conditions with its IP69K rating and MIL-STD-810H certification. It is resistant to dust, water up to 20 meters for 30 minutes, and drops from 1.5 meters.
This model features a 6.58-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on Google Android 14 and it is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 6300 chipset, which includes an octa-core processor and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The device offers 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1TB with an SD card.
For photography, the Construction 2 5G is equipped with a triple camera setup: a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The front camera is 8MP.
The phone also supports multiple 4G and 5G bands, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band WiFi, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It has a 6500mAh battery with 33W fast charging and also includes a built-in laser range finder an ideal little tool for construction workers.
Hammer Construction 2 Thermal 5G
The Construction 2 Thermal 5G shares many features with its sibling but includes several enhancements. It has the same rugged build, screen size, and display specifications. However, it comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1TB.
A significant difference is the camera system. The Thermal model features a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a thermal lens with 160×120 pixel resolution by Flir. The selfie camera is also upgraded to 32MP.
Both models support the same 5G bands and have similar connectivity options, including Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band WiFi, NFC, and USB Type-C. The battery and charging specifications are identical to the Construction 2 5G and also include a built-in laser range finder.
Pricing and Availability
Both the Hammer Construction 2 5G, and the Construction 2 Thermal 5G, are already on sale in Poland across multiple online and offline platforms. The duos will also be distributed across other European countries where Hammer products are currently sold.
As stated above, the Construction 2 5G is available in Black with a touch of Silver color, while the Construction 2 Thermal Edition comes in Black with a touch of Orange color.
As for pricing, the Construction 2 5G with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM is priced at 1,599 Polish zloty, while the Construction 2 Thermal 5G with 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM is tagged at 2,499 Polish zloty, an equivalent of $397 and $621 respectively.
