XP Pro Thermal 5G

Sonim Technologies has been a key player in the rugged device industry for years, and now they're stepping into the thermal imaging space with the XP Pro Thermal 5G. This device combines Sonim's signature durability with built-in thermal imaging, all while delivering the speed and efficiency of 5G connectivity.

Chuck Becher, Chief Commercial Officer at Sonim, emphasizes the practicality of having a thermal camera integrated directly into the phone. The XP Pro Thermal eliminates the need for additional bulky devices, making it a more convenient and cost-effective solution for professionals across multiple industries.

Equipped with a FLIR Lepton 3.5 sensor and powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, this smartphone allows users to capture, analyze, and share thermal data in real time. Teledyne FLIR's MSX technology further enhances image clarity by overlaying visible-light details onto heat maps.

Built to withstand tough environments, the XP Pro Thermal packs a 5000mAh battery with fast and wireless charging, ensuring all-day usability. The 6.58-inch FHD+ display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus II, and with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage (expandable up to 1TB), the device is well-suited for demanding tasks. Running on Android 14, it provides a reliable and efficient user experience.

Designed for professionals in industries like electrical maintenance, HVAC, construction, and public safety, this device enables users to detect overheating components, leaks, insulation issues, and more. It’s also a valuable tool for first responders, allowing them to assess situations quickly and safely.

The XP Pro Thermal comes preloaded with Sonim IRIS software, featuring MyFLIR Pro and compatibility with FLIR Thermal Studio. This integration streamlines workflows by enabling users to analyze thermal data, share insights instantly, and generate detailed reports on-site.

Sonim's new thermal phone is set to launch in Europe and South Africa in Q2 2025, with other regions to follow. With Sonim's established reputation in the rugged device space, this latest offering is built to deliver both durability and performance where it matters most.
